Fianna Fáil Deputy for Mayo Lisa Chambers has welcomed the funding allocation of €50,000 towards the reconstruction of the East Wing at Ballintubber Abbey.
Speaking on the matter Deputy Chambers said “I very much welcome the long awaited allocation of funds for the project at the East wing of the Abbey,”
“It is an amazing project that the people of Ballintubber and in particular Fr Frank Fahey have worked extremely hard on for the past number of years. It is great to see that their hard work has finally paid off,” she continued.
“It is an exciting time for everyone in the Parish, the Abbey is extremely important to our community here in Ballintubber and I am delighted to see money is being invested in its future,” she said.
“I want to wish Fr Fahey and everyone involved in the project the very best of luck for the future and I am excited to see the projects completion,” she concluded.
